EDSP 265 Child and Adolescent Development (3) Prerequisites: None The course provides a thorough study of theory and research in three different areas of child development-physical, cognitive, and social emotional-during the specific time periods of infancy and toddlerhood, early childhood, and adolescence. The course also examines how children develop continuously, not only across time periods, but also across areas-physical development is not separated from cognitive development, and emotional development does not proceed independently from social or physical development.
