President’s Message

Welcome to Concord University. Our faculty, staff, and administrators join me in offering you my congratulations as you step into this new part of your life. We’re committed to your success as you pursue a college education.

You’ll discover engaging classes and opportunities to expand your abilities and knowledge. From the President’s Office and throughout campus, we are here to assist you in your academic endeavors and to see that you get the most from your time in class and out. Don’t hesitate to ask if you need assistance with any of your coursework.

We encourage you to become an active and involved member of the campus community outside of the classroom. An ongoing and varied list of extracurricular activities is available offering opportunities to have fun, build friendships, and volunteer in the community.

Included in this student catalog is information about our services, guidelines, and policies and I encourage you to read it carefully. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our faculty or staff for assistance.

Accreditation

Concord University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, 30 North LaSalle Street, Suite 2400 Chicago, IL 60602-2504, 1-800-621-7440, ncahlc.org.

Programmatic accreditations are held with the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education, and the Council on Social Work Education. The Teacher Education Program is approved by the West Virginia Department of Education. The University is a member of the National Association of Business Teacher Education.
