An introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related technologies such as the Global Positioning System (GPS) and remote sensing. Course topics are relevant for any field that utilizes location-based data, including business and marketing, health and human services, environmental science, and the social, behavioral and natural sciences.
