Prerequisites:
Satisfy one of the following:

MATH 103 or MATH 103C , or MATH 104 , or MATH 107 , or MATH 253 previously or concurrently
CHEM 100 with a grade of C or better
MATH ACT Score 23+ or MATH SAT 570+

Co-requisites: CHEM 111 .

An introduction to the properties of materials and their interactions. Includes the nature of science and the measurement, atomic theory, chemical reactions and bonding (Lewis structures, VSPR theory, hybridization, and molecular orbital theory), energy, and the nature of solids, liquids, and gases. Primarily intended for science majors, pre-professional health majors, and those who may need more than one year of chemistry.
