Prerequisites: Completion of the following with a C or better: BIOL 121 , BIOL 122 , MATH 105 , CHEM 102 and CHEM 112 , or permission of the instructor.
Co-requisites: BIOL 401L.

Mendelian, cytological, microbial, molecular, and population genetics. Includes the human genome project, bioinformatics, and the legal and ethical considerations of public genetic information.

Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory.
