This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), focusing on the acquisition, analysis, and visualization of spatial data to address environmental, scientific, and societal challenges. Through practical exercises and projects using industry-standard software, students will develop the technical skills needed to apply GIS tools to real-world problems and decision-making processes.
