Education, English 5-Adult (BS ED)

The degree of Bachelor of Science in Education in English requires successful completion of at least 120 semester hours, including (1) the General Education Program *; (2) the Professional Education Component, and (3) the requirements associated with English 5-Adult.

This degree qualifies graduates for certification to teach English at both the middle-school and high-school level.

*Note: Education majors must take COMM 101 .

Note:

Modern Language is recommended but not required for the BS in Education degree. However, completion of six (6) hours of one modern language may not be used as a substitute for ENGL 203 or ENGL 204 in the general studies program since both courses are required for the English 5-Adult teaching field.
