The mission of the department is to create well-rounded, highly-skilled, ethically-minded students in the area of Multimedia Communication.

The Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts requires the successful completion of 120 semester hours, including (1) the General Education Program ; and, (2) the completion of the required courses in the area of Multimedia Communication. A minor in Theatre is also available for students pursuing this degree.

For graduation, majors must achieve a combined grade point average of at least 2.50 in all departmental requirements.

General Education Requirements:

Within the General Education curriculum provided by the University, multimedia communication students are required to take COMM 101 . Taking one year of modern language is strongly recommended. Substitutions of the other general education courses may be taken as per the modern language substitution policy.
