Child Welfare Certificate

Child Welfare Certificate (Effective Spring 2025)



     

 

Students who earn the Child Welfare Certificate will be competent in the use and application of social work skills required to work in child welfare. Students completing the Child Welfare Certificate will have obtained the knowledge and skills to work in direct practice in programs that impact children and families. The Child Welfare program will be for those in related undergraduate programs like sociology and psychology at Concord. 

Like Concord University's mission, the Child Welfare Certificate will expand knowledge, encourage and support creative activities and the arts, and contribute to community engagement and economic development to enhance the quality of life in the region end beyond, (CU, 2023). The Child Welfare Certificate will complement any degree program that allows students to work in child welfare service after graduation.
