The Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics provides students with the technical abilities and professional skills to gather, analyze and interpret data, facilitating decision-making. Students will be introduced to a wide range of data analysis concepts such as database management and security, project management, machine learning, big data, data mining, data extraction, manipulation, analysis and visualization. Students will develop the skills to communicate analytical results and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences. This program helps students develop the skills and knowledge to extract meaningful and useful information from raw data to make data-driven predictions or decisions.
Students will learn methods, tools and algorithms used in modern data analysis and analytics. This program provides undergraduates with a comprehensive foundation in cutting-edge data analytic techniques with a focus on fundamentals.
The Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics requires successful completion of 120 credit hours including: (1) the General Education Program ; (2) the multidisciplinary Core Requirements in computer science, statistics, and mathematics; and (3) in-depth coursework from one of five elective concentrations below. Each of the elective concentrations is designed for different career interests.
