The goal of sociology is to provide an understanding of the scientific study of human behavior in social groups. Sociology is concerned with the growth of the individual within the wider context of society. The student interested in a Bachelor of Arts degree may major in sociology with a minor in another discipline. Note required grade average in Department of Social Work and Sociology.
