CHEM 417 Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory

Co-requisites: CHEM 413 .

A laboratory course designed to demonstrate and apply the concepts presented in CHEM 413. Emphasis on fundamental inorganic synthesis techniques, including structural (mass spectrometry) and optical spectroscopy (IR, NMR, absorption, fluorescence). Students will develop problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills through an independent research project. Students are expected to be able to identify and follow professionally recommended safety practices. Must be taken concurrently with CHEM 413.

Three hours laboratory.
