BIOL 315 Freshwater Ecology (4) Prerequisites: BIOL 102 and BIOL 201 ; CHEM 101 and CHEM 111 , or permission of instructor. Ecology, chemistry, and hydrology of lakes, streams, and wetlands. Issues such as eutrophication, acid mine drainage, and fisheries management are discussed. Laboratory focuses on providing practical experience in methods and equipment used by aquatic biologists.
Term Offered: (S-even years) Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory.
