Neuroscience (Minor)

A Neuroscience Minor is geared towards students who wish to enter either the field of neuroscience after completion of a degree at Concord, or wish to pursue graduate study in the field. The minor will assist students in developing fundamental knowledge needed to pursue opportunities in this growing area.

Neuroscience Minor Requirements:

17 credit hours with a minimum 2.00 GPA

BIOL 101 Biology: Theme (4)
PSY 377 Physiological Psychology (4)
PSY 432 Fundamentals of Neuroscience (3)
Choose six credit hours from the following:
BIOL 215 Medicinal Plants and Ethnobotany (4)
BIOL 401 Genetics (4)
BIOL 302 Cell and Molecular Biology (4)
or
CHEM 302 Cell and Molecular Biology (4)
CHEM 341 Biochemistry (3)
PSY 302 Animal Behavior (3)
PSY 335 Psychopharmacology (3)
PSY 365 Sensation and Perception (3)
PSY 412 Cognitive Psychology (3)
Other courses may be included with the approval of the advisor.

Note: Only two (2) courses may also count toward credit in a Psychology major.
