Sociology - Criminology Emphasis (BS)

The Sociology - Criminology Emphasis program offers students seeking careers in criminology or criminal justice a broad liberal arts education that encourages them to think critically about crime and justice issues and prepares them for careers in the criminal justice systems or preparation for a graduate degree program.

A GPA of 2.0 is required.

SOC 101 Introduction to Sociology (3)

SOC 406 Sociological Theory (3)
SOC 430 Senior Seminar or SOC 450 Sociology Internship

Elective Course Requirements

Eighteen (18) credit hours of CRIM or SOC courses. At least six (6) credit hours must be designated SOC and not cross-listed with CRIM.
