Core Requirements:
The degree of Bachelor of Arts with a major in history requires successful completion of 120 semester hours, including (1) the Program of General Studies which must include six hours of one foreign language; (2) courses within the history program OR the history with an area of emphasis in philosophy program as outlined below; and (3) a program of electives OR a minor as worked out with the student's adviser.
Television Courses: The Department of History, in general, will not grant credit hours for the major or minor by educational television programming. Exceptions may be made with departmental consent. History Major Requirements
One of the following:
Taken as a capstone thesis course, one of which will be offered during the spring semester as the designated capstone course. Additional Requirements
Eighteen hours of upper level history electives, three hours of which must be in American history, three hours of which must be in European history, and three hours of which must be in non-Western history. |
