Prerequisites: Completion of the following with a C or better: BIOL 121 , BIOL 122 , MATH 105 , and junior standing or permission of the instructor.
Co-requisites: BIOL 401L.

Mendelian, cytological, microbial, molecular, and population genetics. Includes the human genome project, bioinformatics, and the legal and ethical considerations of public genetic information.

Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory.
